KOTM time! Selfie time! Mom and Richard Selfie!

Good morning Friends,

I am back from the Fun Stampers Journey convention, and to get in the mood for some crafting I pulled out my June Kit of the Month. I am really eager to share this with you all, I had a really fun time creating this card!

Here is a photo of the entire KOTM:

I have created one so far, here is my KOTM card:

Richard Garay (co-owner of FSJ) came to my area, Orlando for the Scrapbook EXPO. I had the uber pleasure of working with him and his crew that day. My mom came out to support us and of course she had to do a “Selfie” with Richard! With the help of my mom we were able to make a photo similar to the photo in the instruction sheet.

selfie card

Now, of course you do not have to do this when you get your Kit of the Month in the mail. I did it for fun! Yes, that is my mom with Richard Garay.

Here is a closer look at the stamps and embllies that come with the kit:

The instruction sheet does call for the use of some Journey Glaze, I just added the Journey Sparkle Dust because it was sitting there ūüôā “Journey Glaze is a fusion between a glaze and a resin, combining the benefits of both. Use to add dimension to your projects or use as an adhesive to adhere glitter or other embellishments.

Thank you for your visit and for your comments. If you would like to order you can go to:

Or leave me a message with your email so I can contact you.

Have a Blessed day and Stay Crafty my Friends!

May’s Kit Cards!

Good afternoon Friends,

I would like to share with you some cards I created using Fun Stampers Journey’s Kit of the Month.

Below is the flyer from FSJ:

This is what you get in your Kit of the Month:

Pre-cut 80 lb. card stock, embellishments, and instruction sheets on how to create four beautiful cards. Not to mention a complete red rubber stamp set.

Here are the cards that I made:

This one they had us using the sentiment stamp on the “Banana Cream” CS Item #: CS-0087, with “Pineapple Smoothie” ink Item #: IP-0014. I think is a really neat idea!!

I added “Journey Glaze”¬†Item #: AD-0002, and “Journey Sparkle Dust” Item #: AC-0013, to the flowers. (These does not come in the KOTM.)

In the instructions, they said to use “Gold Silk” Item #: AC-0018, well I could not find my Gold, so I used “Bronze Silk” Item #: AC-0020. The Journey Silks add a shimmery color splash to your projects.

I also used “Journey Glaze”¬†Item #: AD-0002, and “Journey Sparkle Dust” Item #: AC-0013, to the flowers.

I also used “Journey Glaze”¬†Item #: AD-0002, and “Journey Sparkle Dust” Item #: AC-0013, to the flowers.

When I did this card, it too asked for the “Gold Silk” Item #: AC-0018, however I used a Dyulsion spry ink in “Sunflower.” The instructions called for “River Stone” ink, but I used “Green Olive” ink for the sentiment. I personally liked it better for this. I really like how they showed us to stamp the double flower stamp with “Citrus Cooler” ink Item #: RI-0047, then pop up the single flower stamp.

Here is the last KOTM card. I followed the instructions all the way, until the center sentiment. However, I did use the 2 pieces of card stock that was provided for the center. Instead of stamping the “Live in full bloom,” I used an old Mother’s Day stamp I have. (Company’s name is no longer visible to give credit.) I used “Bronze Silk” Item #: AC-0020, instead of the gold.

So there you have it, as you can see you can follow the instruction sheets or do your own twist. I always keep my sheets, they have provided me with inspiration for other cards.

Here is the flyer for the colors used in these cards:

Like the needed Mother’s Day card above, (I gave to my step-mom) I need to make another Mother’s Day card for my mom:

With my own supplies I created this card. And you can see I drew inspiration from¬† May’s Kit of the Month set.

I have colored all of my flowers with Copics, you can use any type of medium you wish. You can even use our ink pads to color with.

This card here was created by my granddaughter with the help of my mom. They used a blue’ish heat embossing powder, then my granddaughter colored in the flowers with watercolors. (Great Grandma fussy cut the flowers out.) They added chunky glitter to the center. This really is a stunning card from a 3 1/2 year old.

If you would like to order this set then go to¬† Look up top for a button called “Kit of Month” it’s in between the button “Create” and “Catalog.”

Thank you for stopping by, Thank you for your comments. Stay Crafty my Friends!

I make the card following the Sketch from the challenge blog called “”¬†¬† Here is the sketch:

FSJSC4 May 2015

And I made this card for Rose’s Facebook group challenge called “One Journey Coach’s Challenge.” the theme this week is to use “Circles,” and of course to use only Fun Stampers Journey products.¬† (Follow the link above, to Rose’s FB group.)

Here is my “Get well card.”

The printed paper was a freebie in February for a qualifying order.¬† It is for order. It’s called “Black and White” Item# PP-0002. In this paper pack you get 24 sheets double sided: 6 designs, 4 of each, acid-free, lignin-free and archival.

I also used scraps from the printed paper pack called “New Day,” Item #: PP-0004.

I used “Journey Rectangles” Item #: DI-0041 die cut on my “Black and White” paper with out the piercing die, then on the “Green Olive” card stock¬†Item #: CS-0113. I used both the cutting and piercing die from the “Journey Rectangles” Item #: DI-0041.

journey Rectangles DI-0041As you can see they nest, and have piercing dies for each size.

I cut the sentiment out with the “Journey Ovals die,” Item #: DI-0042, then Stipled,Green Olive” true fusion ink Item #: IP-0072, on the “Whip Cream” card stock Item #: CS-0040, then stamped my stamp from the set “Wonderful Day” Item: SS-0126.

Journey Ovals DI_0042These also nest, and have piercing dies for each size.

I used the matching “Green Olive Satin Ribbon” Item #: AC-0107, to fish through the holes of my cut out circles, that I created using my Fun Stampers Journey “Journey Circle dies Item #: DI-0039.”

Journey Circles DI-0039These also nest, and have piercing dies for each size.

I also used:

“Sparkle Drops Item #: AC-0022”

Pool Play card stock: Item #: CS-0092

Cool Pool card stock: Item #: CS-0118

Happy Easter, with a clearance!

Good morning Friends,

I have a couple of Easter cards to share with you, using Fun Stampers Journey products.

For this card I used “Cool Pool” card stock as my card base Item #: CS-0092.

Then I used a Spellbinder die on “Oatmeal Cookie” card stock Item #: CS-0023.

I used a Spellbinder die on “Whip Cream” card stock Item #: CS-0040.

I stamped the flowers using “Cool Pool” T.F. ink Item #: IP-0051 from the stamp set called “Lantern Treats” Item #: SS-0122.

The bunny and sentiment is from the ATS collection called “Easter Bunny” Item #: AT-0053. They were stamped using “Oatmeal Cookie” T.F. ink Item #: IP-0011

For coloring in the bunny I did a “Watercolor” method with Copics that another Coach did a youTube video tutorial on here it is: CLICK ME!¬†¬† And of course Kazan Clark did a much better job then I, so you should take a look at this tute!

Because I gave this card to a man, I wanted to un-frill it a bit, by adding the 2 strips of wide striped ribbon.

For the card base I used “Pretty Amethyst” card stock Item #: CS-0028. Then added strips of the double sided patterned paper collection called “New Day” Item #: PP-0004

Using my “Journey Circles” die cuts Item #: DI-0039, I cut out card stock in “Bubble Gum” Item #: CS-0099 and “Banana Cream” Item #: CS-0087.

I popped up the bunny from the stamp set called “Spring Fling” Item #: SS-0076, the “Egg Hunt” circle and the Easter Eggs are from the same set. I black heat embossed them over some Geli Print papers, then added “Journey Glaze” Item #: AD-0002¬† and “Journey Sparkle Dust” Item #: AC-0013.

The ribbon is “Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon” Item #: AC-0105. The sentiment is from “Easter Bunny” Item #: AT-0053 (Also Black embossed.)

This card went to my grand daughter.

I did make others, however the photos did turn out and I have already given them away.

A Workshop in Kissimmee from the Expo!

Good afternoon Friends,

On Wednesday March 25th, I went to a really nice lady’s house to do a workshop for her. I meet Denise at the Scrapbook Expo 2015 in Orlando Fl.¬† My friend Patti La Bombard and I both had the pleasure of working with Richard Garay, (founder, co-owner, & president of FSJ,) also there was Patti Hunt and one of Richard’s Designers Cynthia. I did get to meet some amazing ladies.

Well Denise wanted a catalog so I mailed her one and right away she had a workshop. Here are some photos of our card-making fun:

To get everyone started I  had them stamp the bottle, shell & sand, and the sentiment onto Whip Cream CS (White cardstock.)

Denises-WS-Denise Denises-workshop-sponging Denises-workshop¬† With a sponge I had them sponge one some “Oatmeal Cookie” ink, over the shell & sand, and the cork. With “Lovely Blue” they sponged above the shell & sand. I then sowed and had the ladies use the Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Dust. That piece was then set aside to dry, while we worked on the “Double Pocket card.

Here are my samples for the workshop:

For my sample card I used:

Pool Play CS Item #: CS-0092

Pool Play True color fusion ink pad Item #: IP-0051 which was used on the “Ink Splat” ATS stamp Item #: AT-0108 (Located under the ribbon.)

Oatmeal Cookie CS Item #: CS-0023

Lavender Fusion Satin Ribbon Item #: AC-0108

Lavender Fusion True color fusion ink pad Item #: IP-0036

Citrus Cooler True Color Fusion Ink Pad Item #: IP-0048

Limeade Splash True Color Fusion Ink Pad Item #: IP-0019

Journey Glaze Item #: AD-0002

Journey Sparkle Dust Item #: AC-0013

Journey Bloom Flowers Die cut Item #: DI-0014

Journey Blooms stamp set Item #: SS-0048

With Black Licorice ink (Item #: IP-0041) I stamped the sentiment onto my photo. The stamp is from the “Birthday Girls SS-0149” stamp set (A past Kit of the Month.)

Because Denise told me before hand, that her friends are avid scrapbookers and card makers, I wanted them to be able to see how versatile the “Pocket Card” die cut is (Item #: DI-0003.) I also wanted to show that you can add a photo and ribbon to put inside the pocket. They can add the Double Pocket card to their mini-albums as well. (Among many other uses.)

So they all added their flowers, ribbon, glaze, and glitter – voila! Done! Set that to the side to dry and we finished the bottle card. After fussing cutting out the bottle I showed them how to assemble the card. Here is mine:

This card just so happens to be cased from this month’s (March) Kit of the Month!

This is not the one that come with the kit, I cut these pieces out myself, I just used the design idea. I did tell all of the ladies this, and showed them rest of the cards that comes with the kit.

For the card base I used Pool Play, in the kit they used Cool Pool. I cut out 12 sets of theses. I layered the Oatmeal Cookie and Pool Play cardstock together and put the heart die on, so I was able to cut out, pierce, and cut the heart out all at the same time with one pass through the Journey Grand!

To get that sandy textured look on the Oatmeal Cookie cardstock, ink up a clear block w/ Oatmeal Cookie ink then dab it on there. Same for the sky look as well, since I used Cool Pool, I used the same ink. This was in the instructions that came with the Kit of the Month! Cool ungh!?

Products used:

Die cut:

“Heart-Felt” Item #: DI-0033

“Journey Squares” Item #: DI-0038

“Cool Pool” Item #: CS-0118

“Pool Play” Item #: CS-0092

“Citrus Cooler” Item #: CS-0089

“Oatmeal Cookie” Item #: CS-0023

True Color Fusion Inks:

“Black Licorice” Item #: IP-0041

“Cool Pool” Item #: IP-0074

“Oatmeal Cookie” Item #: IP-0011

“Cocoa Powder” Item #: IP-0016

“Journey Glaze’ Item #: AD-0002

“Journey Sparkle Dust” Item #: AC-0013

“Journey Twine Natural” Item #: AC-0005

Here is a photo of the Hostess cards:

For the “Pocket Card” I gave all the ladies a “Fun Day Elements” paperclip¬† Item #: AC-0101 of their choice to put on the ribbon, she chose to put it on the insert.

Did not get a photo of all the food Denise had out, but here is one:

Denises-ws-food-table She had loads of food…..

Fun Stampers Journey is running a Hostess special for the month of March, if you have a qualifying show (IE: $150.00 or more) you will receive 3 packs of Double sided Printed cardstock!!
